‘’Analysis of barriers faced by small scale farmers to access Agro inputs versus Nkunganire programme’’

Goal: Barriers faced by small scale farmers to take advantages of Nkunganire are known and strategies to overcome them proposed to the decision makers.
Specific Objectives:
- To identify opportunities and gaps related to Nkunganire program vis a vis to small scale farmers,
- To submit the recommendations towards responsive Nkunganire program vis a vis to different needs and priorities.
Location: Rulindo, Nyanza, Nyagatare, Nyaruguru & Nyamagabe.
Duration: January to November 2021

Farmers | To discuss about opportunities they find and challenges existing in Nkunganire programme to access inputs |
Agro-dealers, agro-inputs distributors and importers | They will inform how the system work, the package it provide to the farmer, opportunities and challenges |
Public institutions: RAB, MINAGRI, RCA, MINICOM | Discussion will be around the programme itself, how designed, its targets, enforcement, regulation, status of implementation, available plans and strategies |
Financial institutions | To discusss about the available facilities to the small scale farmers and their intervention to facilitate accessibility to agro inputs. |
Local CSOs | Their intervention in agro inputs system, their package to facilitate/ strengthen the capacity of small scale farmers to access and afford agro inputs & available challenges |
